NEW NAMES SIGN UP FOR CEDIA HOME TECHNOLOGY EVENT 2010

24th March, 2010

Crestron, the global manufacturer in residential control systems, has announced that it will be taking space at this year’s CEDIA Home Technology Event (training: 14-17 June 2010, exhibition 15-17 June 2010, ICC London ExCeL). Other new exhibitors now confirmed for the single biggest event this year for the UK custom installation sector include leading distributors, Genesis Technologies and Marata Vision, alongside control debutants Carlo Gavazzi and Gira.

“The Home Technology Event is the number one shop window for the residential custom installation industry” says Show Manager and CEDIA’s Operations Director, Matt Nimmons. “We’re delighted to confirm the participation of these new companies and are well set to sell out the remaining floor space in the weeks ahead. Any organisation thinking of taking part, should contact CEDIA now to ensure that they can get the best of the remaining space available”.

These companies join a burgeoning list of major brands appearing at the event which includes JVC, Kaleidescape, Lindy, NuVo, Panasonic, Philips, Sonos and Speakercraft. Prominent distributors in the sector will also be on show - AWE Europe, BMB Electronics, CSE Custom, Habitech and Pulse Marketing. Other exhibitors include the likes of Amina, Artcoustic, Draper Group, Extra Vegetables, Fasttel, Future Automation, Premier Mounts, Philips Dynalite, Rako, Sonos, Smart-e and Unique Automation.

“We are delighted to be at the Home Technology Event this year” says Crestron’s Petra van Meeuwen. “We will be showing new additions to our hugely popular Digital Media and Lighting Control solutions, but the main focus for the event will be on the new Prodigy range.  This simple and affordable solution gives our dealers the opportunity to expand their market to provide home control for every lifestyle and budget”.

“And the buzz in the lighting world is all about LEDs” continues Petra. “We have the products and technology to provide individual control for LED light loads and our systems can work with any LED transformer on the market.  We are also expecting to have the first UK showing of a number of innovations including wireless solutions, ideal for the retrofit market and news on our extended offering in keypads and faceplates.  Not only that, but we will be running Manufacturer Training as well as revealing the winners in our hotly-contested annual Integration Awards – showcasing the very best installations of Crestron in the residential market.  Also we have a number of solutions that are proving extremely popular with architects and interior designers and the special conferences that CEDIA is hosting at the event give us the opportunity for dialogue with this important group. It is all set to be a busy few days in London!”

Exhibitors will be showcasing everything from hi-end speakers, home cinema projectors, whole-home audio systems, plasma, LCD and 3D screens to audio and video media servers, HVAC control, lighting control systems and automated mechanisms for lifting plasmas and other devices. Also on display will be security control products, audio and video cabling, switching, and distribution systems, touch-screens, controllers, furniture and even an automated bath-filling system which can be activated and controlled by an iPhone!

The Home Technology Event also features a comprehensive education and conference programme. This will feature dedicated CEDIA conferences for m&e consultants and contractors, architects, interior designers and electrical contractors. Last year’s show provided over 100 hours of quality training for delegates on and off the show floor. This content was supplemented by a substantial amount of free training courses provided by Trade Suppliers at the event. Last year’s show featured products from more than 150 brands and an attendance totalling 5,082 over its three day duration.
