CEDIA Home Technology Event 2010 was amazing. There was fresh interest on the show floor with solid visitor numbers spread across the three days, Wednesday being outstanding as always. The AWE stand had many exclusive products to show and with so much of importance to tell we were delighted that there was a high proportion of business leaders in attendance. The dedicated CI nature of the show and relative size meant they also had time to hold in depth discussions about multiple product lines, rather than a “you have 5 minutes as I am busy” approach. AWE made a huge investment in the show and CEDIA HTE delivered the results.
Graham Randall, Sales Manager, Future Automation: There were good quality visitors at this year’s show. We got to see our key customers all in one place which was great, and spend some excellent time with them.

The Pulse team have been wowing dealers demonstrating our affordable £20,000 cinema system every minute of the show! Our stand has been busy over all three days, well done CEDIA.
Wayne Jackson, Trainer / Merchandiser, Freesat: This was our first time at the show and it was a real eye-opener. Lots of good quality visitors, and it was a great platform for us to show the market what Freesat was all about. Very impressed.
Mike Baker, UK Sales Manager, LINDY Electronics: We joined CEDIA earlier this year and this was our first time exhibiting at the UK show. I’d say that half of the visitors to our stand have been brand new contacts which is great.
Chris Pinder, Managing Director, Connectivity UK: We introduced our HDMI over IP business at this year’s show for the very first time. The event lived up to our expectations and it’s certainly proved to be the show if you want to reach the CI market.
Carl Sambrell, Managing Director, Atacama: Excellent. It’s really refreshing to see so many new faces at this year’s event. The quality of visitors to our stand has been really spot on.
George Gavutis, International Sales Manager, NuVo Technologies: The traffic on the stand has been better than in 2009. It’s been manic at times. We’ve enjoyed conversations with lots of really good people, looking to integrate NuVo whole home audio into their projects.
Michael Kay, Marata Vision: The enquiries we’ve taken at the show are just great. There are loads of new CI people here, not just the same old faces. It’s a breath of fresh air to meet m&e consultants and interior designers on the Stand as well. We’ll be back next year.

Nick Smith, Sales Director, Aldous Systems (Europe): We’ve done really, really well here. From a numbers perspective it’s definitely up, but it’s the consistency that’s been impressive. Steady traffic throughout and lots of custom installers plus electrical contractors coming into the market and coming to our stand to find out about products and training. We’ve been one the busiest Stands at the show. No question, we’ll be back next year.
Michael Roberts, Cave: A brilliant first year for us at the show. We had good quality throughout, and Wednesday was especially busy. Our unique products really drew people in. The traffic from the show floor conference sessions was also good.

We've supported CEDIA shows from the first Expo recognising that as a leading UK distributor we need to be seen at the UK's premier CI show. This year I was delighted with the new venue, the attendance and the reaction of visitors particularly to our new products from nirv, intelix, Image screens, avielo and Liberty. We're also thrilled to have won this year's 'Best Stand' award, so special thanks to our contractor Ex-ception.

We decided to keep our stand focused on new product launches this year and the strategy worked extremely well. Our new Prodigy Range proved of great interest with the show’s visitors, with significant interest not only from integrators interested to hear about this affordable home automation and control package, but also from developers and architects visiting the Home Technology Event. Also, we were running training on our Digital Media, Lighting Control and Prodigy solutions, and were very happy with the responses from delegates. We also noticed that there were many more electrical contractors this year, and as the main sponsor of the Interior Designer’s Conference, we were pleased to be attracting this important audience sector to the event.

Great show, we felt the numbers were down slightly on last year but the quality of contacts were excellent. The electrical contractors were extremely enthusiastic and wanted to be part of our industry. Our job is to encourage in the new blood into our industry without damaging the market for our loyal core CI Resellers.

The CEDIA show is always an important date in our events calendar and I am delighted to report that it was a resounding success. Our stand was packed full of new products and innovations that attracted a great deal of interest. The show gave us the opportunity to meet our existing customers and we have plenty of new customer leads to follow up. We look forward to coming back to ExCeL next year.
Jane Scotland, Extra Vegetables: As first time exhibitors we were delighted with the CEDIA Home Technology Show. We were extremely busy throughout the event. It was a great opportunity to show our existing customers exciting new products such as the Control4/Linn DS drivers, as well as meeting potential new customers. The quality of the visitors was consistently high, for Extra Vegetables the event was a very worthwhile investment.

Our objective when signing up to exhibit at the CEDIA Home Technology Event was to showcase our Parrot Design By range, in particular the Parrot by Starck Zikmu in Color speakers to the industry. As they are not your average custom installation product we were keen to gauge the reaction we’d receive, but as we had hoped the feedback was extremely positive and custom installers, as well as other manufacturers, were impressed by the design and quality of sound provided by the speakers. Custom installers understood the benefits and USPs of the product which we hope will lead to continued discussions and opportunities post event.

We at Impact Screen Solutions Ltd were very pleased with the levels of interest received in the new NEOD wall mounted and in wall range of Mirror TV’s that we launched at this year’s show. As it is such a new, exciting and eye catching product it certainly attracted a lot of attention and we were pleased with the not only the numbers of visitors but more importantly the quality of attendees with Custom Installers, Interior Designers and Architects all stopping by and expressing interest. Our goal is to create a dealer network throughout the UK to take on the NEOD brand and the CEDIA show went a long way to achieving this as we have signed up a significant number of dealers both at the show and subsequently from the leads generated.
